The 2d Reconnaissance Battalion Association is awarding five (5) scholarships in the amount of: 1 X $1,000 and 4 X $500 each to five (5) eligible undergraduate students who will enroll full-time or part-time in a university, college, community college, or a VA approved, post-secondary career training school within the United States in the 2025-2026 school year. Scholarship funds are awarded to offset the expense of tuition/registration, textbooks and materials, and/or room and board for the recipients.

In order to be eligible for the 2d Reconnaissance Battalion Association scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

• A dependent (child or spouse) of an active duty 2d Recon Marine or Sailor (either living, or one who died while still serving) or dependent of a dues-paying member of the 2d Recon Battalion Association

• Enrolled at least part-time at an accredited university, community college, or VA-approved, post-secondary career training program

• Planning to attend the university, college, community college, or a VA approved, post-secondary career training school in the upcoming academic year

• A maximum family adjusted gross income that does not exceed $90,000 for the 2024 tax year

• A GPA of 3.0 or higher

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree or technical certificate in the 2025-2026 school year
